Queen Mary 2 - Cabins

QM2 offers ten, very distinct accommodation category “types;” prices within those types vary primarily by deck level. All accommodations are well-above industry averages – even the least expensive inside stateroom measures a spacious 194 square feet – large enough for comfortable in-suite dining.

Aboard the QM2, your accommodation selection determines more than just square footage; it determines your dining venue and therefore, the overall level of restaurant service.
  • Q” categories (Q1 – Q7): Queens Grill. Both Fieldings and Berlitz have defined the “Grills” (Queens Grill and Princess Grill) aboard the QM2 as the premier dining experience afloat. Lobster and caviar are the norm; fine champagne flows like water. A private Queens Grill Lounge is available for the exclusive use of guests in this category.
  • “P” categories (P1 – P3): Princess Grill. As with the Queens Grill, the Princess Grill features truly fine dining in a virtually identical setting – but without benefit of a private lounge adjoining.
  • "A," “B,” “C,” & “D” categories: Britannia Dining Room. This is the grandest – if not most exclusive – dining room of all – a two level Art Deco venue with a sweeping staircase.

The QM2’s seven alternative restaurants are available to all guests regardless of accommodation level.

Category B1, B2, B3, & B4 Premium Balcony Stateroom Note: In an effort to provide as many balcony staterooms as possible, Decks 4, 5 and 6 feature “in-hull” balconies. As the QM2 is not actually a cruise ship but an ocean liner, these lower deck staterooms are often subject to high seas. Glass-sided balconies (like those on Deck 8 and higher) just wouldn’t stand the punishment of North Atlantic storms so the ship architects had to improvise. Basically, they cut large openings in the sides of the ship’s hull, recessed the outer stateroom walls back from that opening, and presto! – “balconies!”

The upside? Hundreds more balcony staterooms. The downside? Those balcony staterooms do not provide that open, airy feeling familiar to many cruise passengers. The steel bulkhead is structurally necessary but it effectively kills sea views from within your stateroom and even while seated on your balcony.

All accommodations aboard the QM2 include, unless otherwise noted, the following facilities and/or amenities:
  • Interactive, close-circuit television (film & music channels) with remote
  • Telephone
  • Computer dataport
  • Two-level coffee/dining table for in-suite dining
  • Hair dryer
  • Refrigerator
  • Mini-safe
  • Robes with matching slippers

In addition to above, Junior Suite accommodations (Categories P1 - P3) offer:
  • Services of a concierge
  • Fresh fruit daily
  • Frette linens
  • Personalized stationery
  • Bottle of French champagne on embarkation
  • Pre-dinner canapés

In addition to above, Suite accommodations (Q1 – Q7) offer:
  • Services of a butler
  • In-suite bars stocked with selected spirits or wine and soft drinks
  • Fresh flowers
  • Use of Queens Grill Lounge and private sun terrace
