"Horizon" was a well-chosen name for the first cruise ship from an all-new, premium-level cruise line. When launched in 1990, the Horizon announced that Celebrity Cruises was going to be different. While some competitors fell in love with neon, stainless steel and Mylar, Celebrity followed a sophisticated, cutting edge, “elegance without fussiness” direction.

Today, the Horizon, though lacking some features of newer, larger Celebrity ships (private balconies, alternative restaurant) represents excellent value in the premium-price category.
  • Elegant, two-tiered Palladian Show Lounge offering an architecturally dramatic setting for entertainment.
  • Spacious, beautifully-lighted Starlight Dining Room featuring menus prepared under the direction of the acclaimed Master Chef Michel Roux; even the always-casual buffet - the Coral Seas Café - makes its mark with exceptional cuisine!
  • AquaSpa - the most rejuvenating spa afloat! Celebrity knows the difference between a gym and a sanctuary; so they offer both. Here, you can test your endurance but also treat your senses.
  • The Celebrity "signature" bars! Intimate the Horizon may be, but she finds room for Michael's Club and those big, well-cushioned chairs; the Martini Bar and the Rendez-vous Lounge, both well-located near the main restaurant; Cova Café Milano, that hub-of-the-ship place for piano music and people watching; and the view-from-the-top observation lounge, the America's Cup Club.
  • Contemporary "eclectic" décor. From glass-walled Starlight Dining Room to the dramatic, multi-tiered space of the Palladium Show Lounge, to your own personal space - your stateroom - the décor is fresh and contemporary, classic yet inviting.
