Take a real stroll down the Royal Promenade. Expect to be blown away by this shopping and entertainment spectacle. If you've ever entered the French Quarter you'll find the Royal Promenade so similar to the looks and zany feel of Bourbon Street that you'll be tempted to hoist your shirt for beads.
Outclassing the concept of the mall aboard ships by a hundred miles, this strip is longer than a football field, four decks high, and holds the magic of Disneyland. You'll feel like you're walking a town's main street as you duck into shop's doorways or eat at the "outside" sidewalk café, Café Promenade. And no you're not seeing things. Above all else (literally) are passenger cabins. Stacked above the hustle and bustle of the street they're some of the only staterooms at sea with an inside view.
Aft and Fore Centrums
Let there be light! Having twelve decks above you can make you feel like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. To alleviate the sense that the sky has fallen, two broad atriums, or the Centrums as they are known, sweep upwards 12 decks to open up and brighten the ship with natural light.Beyond their lighting function, the Centrums' balconies are lined with shops, lounges, and in the aft Centrum the Guest Relations Desk, and provide an alternative to the Royal Promenade for window shopping and hanging out.
Guest Relations
A one-stop shop, the Guest Relations located on Deck 5 at the rear Centrum is your source for assistance. If you have any questions, lost items, or just want to get off some postcards the staff here can help you 24 hours a day.
Main Pools
Double dipping is allowed. What's better than lying by a pool? Lying by two pools of course. Located on Deck 11, the pool area will have hydrophobics babbling like babies for their water wings. Two large sized pools, and four relaxing hot tubs make this area a watery oasis and your body a prune by the end of the day.
For swimming goggles check out the Swim Shop, and for beer goggles check out the pool's bar.
Solarium
A quiet reprieve at the Solarium. With a retractable glass dome overhead the atmosphere at the Solarium is still and peaceful. Smaller than the main pool area, the Solarium is known for its charm and ancient ambience. Water spewing statues and stone columns that support a mosaic structure surround the pool making one feel like they've come across a perfectly preserved Roman bath. You can't help but feel god-like as you stroke easily underwater across the length of the pool, or soak in either of its hot tubs.
You'll find snacks and sandwiches at its café, and cold drinks at the bar. Getting someone to feed them to you as you lay under the sun is up to you. Grapes, anyone?
Adventure Beach
Parents love the padded floor. Kids love falling on them. Three pools of varying size and depth provide splashdowns for tots to ten year olds. A wading pool with a short elephant slide keeps the diapered ones happy. A second pool is the landing for a spiraling waterslide that starts from the deck above; and the third has a waterfall running into it, with a large green frog that shoots water at unsuspecting swimmers.
Surrounded by plenty of deck chairs, parents can keep an eye on their kids as they run around and give in to their imaginations.
Adventure Dunes Golf Course
Putting around doesn't have to be unproductive. If you're something of Tiger Woods on the peewee golf courses, this is a 9-hole you're going to have to try. Have fun with the family or keep your short game in line at this challenging, but not zany putting course. If you're looking to test out your driver, try the netted range, or give the golf simulator a whirl. Allowing you to play on any of a number of the world's most famous courses, you can take off to Scotland while in the Caribbean.
Library and Internet Center
A voluminous tomb of volumes and tomes. Decks 7 and 8 have more in common than elevators. Aft and center you'll find the ship's library, a grand room connected by a polished staircase that ties together two levels of book laden shelves (downstairs) and plenty of computer terminals for those cyber-minded. Outside of being an excellent source for literature and reference, it makes one heck of a cozy spot to duck into for golden silence.
Seven Hearts
It isn't a cruise without a card room, and the Viking Crown Lounge on Deck 12 isn't complete without the Seven Hearts card room. Located portside, you'll be amazed by the ocean views (and how you can read hands off the floor to ceiling windows).
Skylight Chapel
Now, if only you can get the captain to dress like Elvis. For a new twist on the making your vows or renewing your old ones, why not make them at sea? Sure makes your honeymoon convenient. Located at the top of the ship so that the angelic light of Heaven can shine propitiously upon your vows, this modern and tasteful room has a lot of couples saying, "I do."
Conference Rooms
A business center, and a screening room are available to suit your group's needs. A large conference room can be broken up into several smaller areas. The adjoining Studio B can be opened up to create one. The room is so conducive to taking care of business in fact the ship holds its wild and clamorous art auctions here.
Concierge Club
How suite it is. If you like to discuss worldly matters like Rolls-Royces and the Zen of polo you'll enjoy your company at the Concierge Club. The catch of course is that you have to be a member of the Suites class to gain access.
Peek-a-Boo Bridge
Marvel at the computer that keeps the ship on course, and wonder at the fact that the captain is downstairs partying with the passengers.
Observation Deck
Forget the whole Titanic "I'm the king of the world!" leaning off the bow thing. But you'll feel the blast in your face just the same. Then step away from the railing and head directly up to the hairdressers. (Royal Caribbean's got it all figured out.)
Photo Gallery
If you get your photo snapped by one of the onboard professionals (and believe me you will), head to the Photo Gallery on Deck 3 to see how it and others turned out. Buy only what you like. The rest will have to remain memories.
Photo Shop
If you need to buy film, or get yours developed, the Photo Shop has all the accessories you need.
Medical Center
If you did a beautiful swan dive-into an emptied pool, you may want to check in at the Medical Center. Though the Medical Center has limited hours, medical attention is 24 hours a day with a doctor and nurses ready to make house calls.
