 | Like all Royal Caribbean ships, the Empress of the Seas has a wonderful kid’s program. Kids are grouped by age, generally forming five distinct categories:
- Aquanauts (3-5)
- Explorers (6-8)
- Voyagers (9-11)
- Navigators (12-14)
- Guests (don’t call them kids!) (15-17)

 | Here are just a few of the advantages in enrolling your kids in the Adventure Ocean program
- 1. For starters, shipboard activities and programs are complimentary!
- 2. All programs are conducted under the supervision of trained, college-educated staff members
- 3. Your child will not only be entertained, he or she will be engaged in learning!
- 4. Your child will be taught some of the local customs specific to your cruise itinerary.
- 5. Teens have their space and separate activities, too!
- 6. And finally, you – the parents – get some quality time alone, too!
- 7. Age-specific, optional, extra-cost shore excursions!

 | Depending on the age group, Adventure Ocean activities include playrooms with tube slides and rubber ball “pools,” arts & crafts, ice-cream parties, finger painting, face-painting, talent shows, science projects, “kids-night out” dinners, scavenger hunts, sports tournaments, pottery, karaoke, TV show “producing,” teen dances, and pool parties. | | | |
