Caravelle Restaurant

Elegance and Excellence in Eating...
Celebrity's cuisine has long been well reputed, but we think you'll be just as pleased by your dining experience as you are with the food. The Caravelle dining room is elegantly decorated to complement the cuisine, from mirrored ceiling to attractive stainless-steel columns reflecting the white linens, the crystal and the fine china. The dining room is cleverly laid out to appear more intimate than an 840-seat restaurant might usually seem, with the strategic placement of partitions and plant arrangements to create the feeling of several smaller restaurants rather than one big banquet hall. Piano music plays softly throughout the dinner hour, and the international serving staff (representing more than 20 countries) is friendly, prompt and efficient.

It may be impossible to find a true five-star dining experience on any cruise line, but Celebrity comes pretty close. Fleet Chef Michel Roux, owner of several acclaimed restaurants in Britain, is a master of large-scale food operations, and he has developed a cruise menu that meets his insistence on quality, freshness and fine food. Start your meal with an appetizer, like escargots or crab cakes, and a salad or bowl of consommé, and then indulge in entrees ranging from hearty, top-quality steaks to seafood (like broiled lobster tails), rack of lamb (prepared with fresh mint and thyme) and poultry dishes; a vegetarian menu, and "lean and light" selections are available on request, too. You can complement the meal with the perfect bottle of wine, selected from the extensive list of vintages, and follow it all with your favorite dessert (freshly made ice creams, fruit sorbets, a delicate swan puff pastry, or the great Pistachio Crème Brulee!).

As per custom, there are two dinner seatings (early and late) each evening, and the dress code is usually casual. On a typical cruise, there are usually several informal nights (jacket and tie required) and at least one formal night, so dress to impress! The Caravelle serves breakfast and lunch, too, and is also home to the Zenith's midnight buffet.

Windsurf Café and Bar & Grill

A Delicious Way to Take it Easy.
Decorated with surfboards and other trappings of the laid-back, beach-bum lifestyle, but with a touch of class (it's all china, glass and silverware here — no plastic!), the Windsurf Café is a great place for breakfast, lunch or even dinner, especially if you're not in the mood for all the rules that go along with eating in the main dining room (assigned seating, meal times and dress codes). Here, you can eat what you want, when you want, wearing pretty much whatever you want. Sit at the air-conditioned indoor cafe, or dine al fresco at the adjacent outdoor bar & grill, and take it nice and easy.

Buffets and salad bars are the name of the game here, but there are always more than enough stations open, so you'll never wait in long lines. For breakfast, you can get your pancakes and waffles, or live it up a little and try the eggs benedict or crepes. At lunchtime, there's a veritable bounty here, from a pasta bar, soups and salads, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, ribs, pizza and more. And for dinner, the café becomes a casual restaurant with table service, for those who choose to skip the main restaurant for a change. It's all served in a cozy, faux tropical atmosphere with lots of wood and warm pastels. So, dress down...all you need to bring is your appetite.

Cova Café di Milano

Life is Like a Box of Chocolates.
After an afternoon of exploring some exotic port-of-call, or simply wandering around the ship, a delicious cappuccino and a pastry really hits the spot. Named after the renowned café near La Scala Opera House, Cova Cafe di Milano is the perfect spot to enjoy conversation and people-watching. And don't deny yourself the taste of their amazing, world-famous Italian chocolates, which have to be tasted to be believed. Live music performed by a harpist or other musicians sets the mood.

Marina Bar

For When You Just Don't Feel Like Getting Up…
Celebrity thinks of most everything for your total cruise vacation convenience and enjoyment. They know that when you're hanging out by the pool or Jacuzzi, the last thing you feel like doing is trudging back to your room, changing into dry clothes, and then trudging back to the buffet line for your lunch. The Mast Bar and Marina Bar, way up on the Sun and Marina decks, are located right next to the ship's prime sun-soaking real estate, so you don't have to make much of an effort to grab a burger or sandwich and a drink, then plop yourself back down again.

Room Service

For a full meal or a midnight snack, take advantage of the Zenith's 24-hour room service.
