The name says it all - Spirit. Catch the spirit of the Klondike gold
seekers, the Native Indians, and the pioneer settlers on this seven-day
journey through Alaska. The Carnival Spirit departs for memorable,
roundtrip cruises through Alaska's famed Inside Passage. You'll find glaciers,
great service, and good times on this seaside expedition.
Your cruise departs from Vancouver B.C., a city that resembles
Seattle more than its Canadian neighbors to the east. If you arrive a
day or so early, you'll have a chance to explore Vancouver's picturesque
waterfront, ride the tram to Grouse Mountain, and explore its world famous
Chinatown.
The first full day of your cruise finds you in the tranquil seas of the
Inside Passage. Listen to the ripple of the waves as you travel
north to Juneau, Alaska's state capital. Experience the Gold Rush,
walk on top of a giant glacier, or take a kayaking adventure. Juneau has
it all, and reindeer sausage and moose burgers to boot! But Glacier
Bay may be your personal highlight, with its vast wilderness crawling
with glaciers, icebergs, fjords, and wildlife including whales, bears,
and moose.
After a day at sea, you'll be ready to hit the docks of Skagway.
Walk in the footsteps of author Jack London and many other prospectors
who stopped here en route to the Yukon in search of gold. Then get back
onboard for your next port visit: Ketchikan, the totem pole and
salmon capital before your early morning arrival back at Vancouver.
