Untitled Document
At 70,000 tons, the Splendour of the Seas just barely fits into the
"large-ship" category of ships, while still able to embrace the
warmth and charm of smaller vessels. Lacking only the multi-level main show
lounge of her slightly larger sisters, the Splendour offers most every feature
that has made Royal Caribbean ships among the most passenger-friendly in
the world.
Here are some of the highlights of this beautiful ship:
- An Observatory with endless views out to sea by day; endless views
of the stars at night
- An all-weather Solarium and pool with retracting "Crystal Canopy"
overhead
- An open, spacious atrium flooded with natural light
- A brighter, more open-feeling cruise environment - interior galleries
and lounges are fed by natural light throughout the ship
- Two, scenic, glass-walled elevators with views not just of the atrium,
but out to sea!
- Private balcony staterooms - almost 30% of the Splendour's staterooms
feature floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading onto spacious balconies
- The line's signature, glass-walled Viking Crown Lounge with unparallel
views of the ship and the ocean
- Excellent Conference facilities, expanded youth facilities and a two-level
Fitness Center

- All ages but particularly popular with families, couples, and
singles. The ship's youth facilities are top-notch.
- Passengers looking for a competitively-priced, slightly upscale cruise
environment
- Active, "Get Out There" passengers!
|
- Passengers seeking absolute peace and quiet. The ship attracts active
passengers and their families.
- Passengers who insist on ultra-flexible dining. The Rhapsody offers
the traditional style of dining with assigned dining times and tables.
Although the Windjammer Café offers a casual, restaurant-style
dining at night, there are no true, "alternative" restaurants
onboard.
