 | Snorkeling/SCUBA: The way the Caribbean used to be: untouched and unspoiled. Eighty-four varieties of coral are easily viewed in the crystal-clear water. (Bonaire's dry climate means little river silt runoff into the bays.)
Windsurfing: Bonaire's combination of constant trade winds and protected waters makes for ideal windsurfing conditions, particularly near Lac Bay in the southeast.
Kayaking: The sheltered waters of Lac Bay are the best place to kayak, particularly for those new to the sport.

 | Boating: Glass bottom boat rides, sunset dinner cruises, "booze cruises," dive boats, snorkel trips… all are plentiful here in Bonaire.
| |
 | Birdwatching: Flamingos are the best known of Bonaire's birds, yet there are some 170 other species populating the island.
| |
 | Fishing: Find the fish here: Wahoo, Dorado, Blue Marlin, Grouper, Tuna, Sailfish, Snapper, and Amber Jack.
| |
 | Biking: Bonaire's relatively flat terrain provides for exceptionally pleasant bike riding. Most coastal roads are well paved, while many inland routes are a bit more challenging.
| |
 | Horseback Riding: Bonaire's outback, or "kunuku," is where to look for the island's horse ranches. | |
