Miami Seaquarium: The world-renowned local aquarium features an amazing variety of marine life. Performing dolphins and whales, non-performing sharks, sea lions, fish, and even some fowl call the Seaquarium home.

Bayside District: Enjoy shopping in this beautiful open-air mall.

Coconut Grove: Shopping, restaurants and nightlife abound in this very hip enclave. The Coco Walk is one of the sleekest parts of the once-Bohemian neighborhood. Search out the art galleries, theaters and street fairs.

Miami Beach: The vacation haven of the '50s is back, encouraged largely by the growth of neighboring South Beach. This is where Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel "vacationed" in the early-50s sitcom "I Love Lucy."

South Beach: The District has over 800 Art Deco Buildings. Some nights it seems to have as many nightclubs! This is the coolest part of this very hot town, popular with the rich, the famous, the beautiful and the fun loving.

Miami Metrozoo: A 290-acre cage-less park where a wide variety of animals roam natural settings, staring back at the strange-looking tourists.

Little Havana: Miami's Cuban community is centered on Calle Ocho (S. West 8th St.) where visitors can sample Cuban food, down a cup of café Cubana and shop for numerous crafts in the area's Marketplace.

Parrot Jungle and Gardens: This tropical bird Sanctuary and wildlife habitat opened back in 1936, and remains one of South Florida's premier tourist attractions. A very un-parrot-like albino alligator (the only one in South Florida on exhibit) also inhabits the park.

Fairchild Tropical Gardens: A neighbor of Miami, Coral Gables, is home to this 83-acre tropical plant preserve. Rare, tropical plants from around the world fill the conservatory and rainforest.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens: This beautiful, Renaissance-style villa has 10-acres of formal gardens and fountains. Built in 1916 by industrialist James Deering, the villa boasts 34 rooms of 15th through 19th-century antiques and decorative art.

Wolfsonian Museum: Located in the South Beach Art Deco District, this museum promotes the art and design of the sixty-year period stretching from 1885-1945. Art Nouveau and Art Deco posters, furniture, paintings, glassware, metal works and ceramics predominate.

Miami Cultural Plaza: The complex includes the Miami Art Museum, the Historical Museum, and the Main Library. (And you thought Miami was all beachwear and biceps!)
