Sports & Activities |
 | As a cruise passenger, you're not going to Bangkok to golf or play tennis, though both are available. Most sports and activities available to cruise passengers will be located on the resort islands of Phuket, Ko Samui, and Ko Chang. (Ko translates as "island" in Thai.)
| |
 | Water Sports: All are available and can be arranged at major hotel resorts on the various islands. Your cruise line usually makes arrangements with individual resorts to allow use of their facilities for shore excursion passengers. Automated cable water-skiing is available at Phuket. (And you thought you'd tried everything?)
| |
 | Golf: Phuket offers four 18-hole courses.
| |
 | Boating and Deep-Sea Fishing: Red snapper, rainbow runners and other game fish are the primary prey.
| |
 | | Snorkeling and SCUBA Diving: Tour arrangements can be made either through your ship's Shore Excursion Desk or with independent operators ashore.
| |
 | Horseback Riding: Again, Phuket offers the most variety of trails and facilities. Inland and shoreline rides will make your short stay in Phuket an unforgettable one. | |
